I'm quite aware that people are closely watching this section to know the outcome of the rental of the classrooms. I believe people out there is having this 'I am wondering if anybody would trust this 18 year old to rent him a room'.
Thank you for your trust and support. The classroom IS not yet proposed but it will not take more than these 2 weeks to be done.
In these 2 weeks time, I will arrange a time to speak with the director of that tuition centre. That venue has more than 4 maths tuition classes ranging from Primary schools to JC levels.
And also in the same tuition centre, there's approximately 8 classes teaching various subjects. The timeslot that we're asking for has been sought out and verified that there is no tuition classes that will occupy the rooms.
As confident as I am in getting a classroom, the chances that we might not get it is still present. Therefore, I hope anyone out there reading this entry will help us locate a classroom for our use.
If there is a price we could pay for your help, please do let us know.
The venue to the classes are still being negotiated. I sincerely ask anyone who has an contacts renting classrooms to help us out.
Being only 17, 18 years old, we have some difficulty in renting classrooms. Credibility as one of the factors, the rental cost is another. We are willing to pay S$300-S$450 for 8 days rent in a month.
No doubt, we're still trying our best to get the place. If you would pardon us, this might take some time. The schedule for the classes is out.
We're now fine tuning the timings so that the quality of classes will be maintained high. The fees have also been adjusted.
We're also taking in Secondary 1 and 2 students. The secondary students will be taught upon registration. We will not be emphasising on the secondary levels for the start.
The first draft of our tutoring system is out. We know there's improvements to be made. And we're making them. Once the classes are rolled out, the schedule for the classes will be posted.
This section will also be updated often to update parents on our teaching methods as we improve.
Special services like 1 to 1 monitor of study is being reviewed. We would like to prepare classes and methods for students who need more help than just the tuition classes.
And also the per-sem student review system is being proposed. This system will ensure that a report will be done for every student in the centre after every semester, which is every 1/2 year.
And finally, a special reward bonus is being reviewed and calculated. This is a sum of money put aside from the fees of students and this will be the welfare funds for rewards and gatherings - for both parents, students and tutors.
The next entry will be on the progress of the rental of classroom. It will be either a going to start soon or a have to delay longer update.
The location for the tuition centre is being quickly settled. The propose venu for classes would be at Bishan, somewhere around Catholic High School, J8.
The rates for tuition will be adjusted so that the objectives of this tuition centre CAN be achieved. As experienced facilitators, we do not just sit in class and wait for students to tell us they do not understand something.
The flexibility of fee payments and tuition days are being worked out. I am not sure if anyone is reading this but we will be updating this section often enough.
The brochure will be ready and published soon after the venue for the classes is confirmed. The rates will definitely be going down, the classes will be in classes of 10, students of the same level will be together, not to worry.
The timetable for the primary levels are being worked out also, with only the weekends to teach, we hope that the timeslot are fine.
Just a note, Ding Jie and I, shuaixun are still studying, the most we can fork out is the weekends and our holidays. If there's a need for make up classes for any of the students, we will let them know.
And if you're ever a teaching staff under our name, rest assured that we will treat you better than ourselves. A sum of money will be put aside to promote students welfare.
Earning money is not the main priority, getting As is too, not the main priority. What is? Read about it in the next entry.
